Shri Gopi Geet Katha
Radha ji is often considered as the reflection and an inseparable part of Lord Krishna. She is also the most important Gopi in the famous Raas Leela (the spectacle of sacred dance) by the Lord. Shri Gopi Geet Gyan Yagya by Pujya Swami ji elaborates on the interactions of Lord Krishna with Radha ji and Her other friends. During this Gyan Yagya (holy act of dissemination of knowledge), Swami ji paints a vivid picture of the pain of separation experienced by each Gopi. The focal point of this discourse is the transformation of Lord Krishan from Braj Ka Nand Lal (son of Nand from Braj) to Mathura Naresh (the king of Mathura) and its impact on Gopis. The gripping tale encapsulates the maddening virah (separation) when the Lord departs for his kingdom in Mathura.
About Gopi Geet
Gopi Geet is a sub-section in the bigger scripture of Shrimad Bhagwat. It is considered to be the most enchanting part of Krishna Leela (spectacle of Lord Krishna). It is a narration of how Lord Krishna, the mischievous kid who steals butter becomes the life-line of all Gopis. The Gopis are so besotted in the love of the Lord that everything else in the world seems irrelevant to them. Gopi Geet, in principle, presents another facet of attaining unification with God, i.e. true and unconditional love.
