About Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta

Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta is one of the most popular Hindu scriptures and comprises 700 verses. It forms a part of another famous Hindu epic-- the Mahabharata. It is a narrative dialogue between Arjuna, the Pandava prince standing in the battlefield of Kurukshetra, and Lord Krishna, who chose to be his charioteer for the entire course of the battle. The scripture details about situation of Arjun during the epic battle when he is at crossroads and filled with self-doubt looking at his kith and kin as his opposition. It is then that Lord Krishna counsels him to follow the righteous path and rids him of his doubts. Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta has been translated and accepted as a way of life by both the East as well as the West.
