In His detailed discourse, Pujya Swami ji touches upon a wide array of enlightening topics and their application in the modern context. One of the first topics of the discourse is Guru Mahima (Glory of the Guru) which highlights the traits one should seek in a spiritual Guru and the impact as He leads his disciples to the path of enlightenment. The chapter on Kritagyata (being thankful) encapsulates the act of being grateful towards not only the Almighty but also the Guru who acts as a medium to attaining unification with God. Aajeevika (Livelihood) details about the ideal behavior as one goes about earning his livelihood. Karya (task) is a call to the Almighty requesting Him to assist in all of our tasks and guiding us to the virtuous path.
About Shri Bhakti Prakash
Shri Bhakti Prakash, meaning enlightenment through Bhakti, is a scripture by Swami Satyanand ji Maharaj which lists out the ideal behavioral traits of the seeker and his Guru. It is an allegory of the different types of distractions that a seeker might face as he treads the path to enlightenment through the help of a self-realized master. It is a step by step description of the different phases of a devotees life from Viyog, where a seeker is distant from the Almighty and longs for a union with Him, to Madhur Milaap, when the Holy union finally happens thus providing the seeker with the calm and purity that he had set out to attain.
